The Idea
Producing a music video is usually a time-consuming and often expensive process, a lot of indie artists are just starting with a career in music, or are just doing it as a passion and don't really have the time, or budget to hire a whole team to plan and produce a whole music video for their songs or albums, that's the gap that VidsBeats fills. It's a service aimed at musicians, producers, or anyone else who wants an easy way to produce a video for their music.
The Technical Challenge
Although seemingly simple, the technical implementation of VidsBeats is fairly complex, including components on every layer of the stack, from cloud services on AWS to support a load of heavy media content like audio and video, making custom plugins for content creation toolsets like Adobe to enable artists to create the templates and making a whole distributed system to process and render them.
The Solution
After careful planning, experimentation, and consideration we finished implementing and launched the initial version of VidsBeats in March of 2020. From an idea, we took on this challenge and produced a scalable distributed system capable of sustaining load. It's now live with thousands of processed videos, and many more each day.
